Nova Racing would like to thank Dave Molyneux Racing for putting our new Yamaha R6 7 speed gearbox through its paces at the 2019 Isle of Man TT. Isle of Man TT Races Despite the weather and many other challenges faced during the two weeks the gearbox performed flawlessly. Wishing Dave and the team all the best for the rest of the season.

Back at the end of last season we got together with Mark at Go Racing Developments and Brian from Chassis Factory to see if we could build our own GP2 Bike, for the ever expanding Bennetts British Superbike Championship GP2 class. Mark and Brian worked flat out over the winter and in just 3 months we had a bike ready for Jamie Perrin, our chosen rider, to test in Spain. With the test going well and Jamie finding a good base setting and matching his Supersport laptimes with a bike that has less horse power, which showed we were going in the right direction. The weather and some unforeseen crash damage, we went into the first race of the year at Silverstone with a bike that had only covered approximately 300km, but we were rewarded with 2 podium finishes in the GP2 class and Jamie going quicker than he did last year on his Supersport bike but this time on a standard Yamaha engine and a nice strong Nova Gearbox, exceeding all of our expectations. We are hoping this is the way forward with less engine tuning and rebuilds. We would like to thank Mark and Brian for all their hard work, Jamie for his hard riding and commitment to the project. Jamie’s family for all their hard work over the weekend, the Bennetts British Superbike Championship organisers for a class that lets us learn new things. We would also like to thank Approved CS Ltd for all their hard work in getting the bike to stand out. This bike is not exclusive to Nova, we are only developing this bike with the intention of other teams having an alternative. For more information contact Chassis Factory or Go Racing Developments
